1 OFF MOTORSPORTS BMW XENON HID INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

These HID Installation Instructions cover the following BMW Models F650GS, F800GS, K1200S, R1200GS, S1000RR

Important

  • Installation time is 60 to 90 minutes depending on technical knowledge and mechanical skill of the installer.
  • Installation of your 1 OFF XENON HID light system is simple with the proper tools.
  • 1 Off Motorsports always recommend any modifications to your motorcycle be performed by a trained professional.
  • Under no circumstance touch the HID bulb.

Tools needed:

You will need the following tools in order to install your new 1 OFF XENON HID light system on your BMW Motorcycle.

  • Drill with a 7/8 inch bit - or smaller and a file
  • Pliers
  • alcohol and clean cloth in case you touch the bulb
  • Rubber cement (optional)

Installation:

Access your BMW Headlamp housing and remove headlamp cap

  1. Drill your rear of cap in the center with a 7/8” diameter hole
  2. Fit the HID bulb wires through the cap and squeeze the grommet through the hole to seal it back up
  3. Optionally, add some drops of liquid cement around the grommet to permanently place the grommet in place.
  4. Remove the HID bulb from its plastic protector, crack the protector with the pliers and remove
  5. Place HID bulb in the headlight assembly and secure it in the base
  6. Plug the pins from the power wires in the HID bulb into the bikes headlamp sockets (RED = Power / BLACK = Ground)

(IMPORTANT!) Make sure the connectors are properly plugged to your bikes electrical system (Power/Ground) do not reverse polarities.

Assembling ballasts and decoder

Plug all the components as shown in diagram above
  • Place and tie all the components to your motorcycles assembly in a well hidden place, make sure that it does not interfere with your steering damper operation.
  • Ballast can be placed in a hidden area behind faring or instrument cluster, tie it down securely.
  • Clean up wires carefully, tie everything downand make sure nothing is left lose.
  • Test the lights by turning on the bike and firing them up.
  • Make sure you double check for any loose wires. Everything should be tucked away
