Are 1 Off Motorsports HID kits street legal?

The truth is, installing ANYTHING into a vehicle that was not originally equipped with them from the factory is technically illegal. This includes aftermarket exhaust, headers, and all types of modifications that the D.O.T did not test (and get paid) for. However, we are selling these kits for OFF Road, race and exhibition use only. 1 Off Motorsports by no means encourage breaking the law, please use safely. There have been little to no verified accounts of anyone getting pulled over and cited just for having them on. 1 Off Motorsports recommends that you make sure that you have the appropriate headlight assembly for your vehicle and that your headlights are properly aligned after installation. If you are again not comfortable please take it in to a professional.

Why do HID lights run more efficiently than halogen bulbs?

The stock halogen bulbs run at 55W, and our 1 Off Motorsports HID lights run at 35W. Initially the HID's required more power draw temporarily during start up.

How long will my 1 Off Motorsports HID bulbs last?

When installed correctly 1 Off Motorsports HID Xenon kits are designed to last 10X longer than halogen lights around 5000 hours. However if the bulb or ballast malfunction from normal use we are going to replace it for the lifetime that you have our product. (This does not include water damage, improper installation or mistreatment of the bulb).

Should I replace both my high and low beams with 1 Off Motorsports HID's?

You have the option to upgrade your low beam first and see if that gives you the increased light that you are looking for. If that is not up to your satisfaction, you can choose to replace the high beams after the fact and we will pro-rate your purchase and make sure that you are taken care of. You will already be very pleased with the increase in performance with the 1 Off Motorsports HID Xenon conversion kit on the low beams, but if you do a lot of night time off road driving, more light is always better. We have all bulb types to fit most low, high and fog light applications. Depending on how much light you are looking for I would recommend a 1 Off Motorsports HID Xenon conversion kit for the low, high AND Fog lights! while 1 Off Motorsports offers HID light kits to upgrade your Hi and Lo Beams, alot of our customers are very happy with the light performance improvement they get from upgrading their Low-beam lights on their bike.

Can I reverse the installation of your HID lights on my headlamp if I have any problems?

Yes, our 1 Off Motorsports HID Xenon conversion kit is 100% reversible. Our 1 Off Motorsports HID Xenon conversion kit is a direct factory replacement and requires no cutting splicing of wires and minor modification to the stock headlamp cover (1inch hole). You can return the headlight system to stock by removing the ballasts and putting back in the halogen bulbs. The plastic headlamp cover can be sealed again by leaving grommet in place or replacing for new covers.

Can I perform the installation of my new HID lights by my self?

Installation time and complexity varies from bike to bike and on your technical skills. If you have basic technical skills and can remember how you took something apart you should be able to install this yourself. The most difficult part of the installation is first getting to the bulb, then finding a good place to mount the 1 Off Motorsports slim digital ballast. We recommend using the faring stay or inside of a faring. If you do not feel confident doing it, please take it somewhere and have a licensed professional install it. When you install it right, you will see what all the hype is about and you will never ride without 1 Off Motorsports HID's again. Ride safe!
