The Company
1Off MotorSports started in San Diego, CA by Zach Tibbs and Jose De Leon in 2007. It was Zach’s idea to start the business after he was involved in a near death accident. It was late a night and car was unable to see him while on his way home from class. After months of rehabbing it became his mission to have a company, which helped other motorist avoid this situation. The solution was to provide improved lighting solutions in a friendly and knowledgeable manner. The two friends started providing improved lights to motorcycle dealerships nationwide.
From 2007 to 2009 Zach and Jose grew the company as a part time venture in addition to their full time jobs. In 2009 they decided to seek outside ideas from co-workers and friends. A club was formed and immediately became a fun group of young entrepreneurs who met to exchange ideas about growing a business with Zach’s mission in mind.
In 2010 the group took the leap into fulltime positions at 1Off Motorsports and the company now consists of Spencer Tibbs and Chris Andretta in addition to the two founders. The combined passions for the outdoors and motorsports naturally directed the company to providing products for wilderness riding and living.
Spencer Tibbs is the friendly voice of 1Off Motorsports, and runs the day-to-day operations. He’s the guy you’ll talk to when you call to place an order for your F800 GS or when you just need someone to talk to. He’s “in-between” bikes right now, and isn’t happy about this. Tell him to pull the trigger already next time you get him on the phone. Chris Andretta has a passion for the outdoors and runs the “San Diego Adventure Team”, when he’s not putting together charts and financial models that no else cares to look at. Zach is obsessed with pushing the limits and finding top quality products for bikes. Jose is the technology guru of the group, and is a valuable asset in our increasingly digital world.
